Congratulations on your academic accomplishments. As you complete the requirements for your degree, the University is working hard to make Commencement Week 2014 a memorable occasion for you. This website contains all the information you need to prepare for the week's activities. If you have questions not addressed on this website please contact the Commencement Office or visit us on Facebook.

COMMENCEMENT WEEK SCHEDULE

The University Commencement ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 10:15 a.m. outdoors on Morningside Campus, rain or shine. The Levien Gymnasium of the Dodge Fitness Center will serve as an indoor, weather-friendly, accessible viewing location for any guest with a general admission ticket. School ceremonies and events will take place from Sunday, May 18 through Thursday, May 22. For information on your individual school's graduation ceremony, visit the School Ceremonies and Baccalaureate section of this website.

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY TICKETS AND ADMISSION

All degree candidates who expect to graduate in May 2014 (May 2014, February 2014, and October 2013 graduates) are eligible to register to participate in the University Commencement ceremony.

Please visit the tickets section of this website for more information.

AFTER THE CEREMONY

The ceremony will end shortly after noon. We recommend that graduates and their families choose a designated area off campus to meet after the ceremony. With more than 30,000 people on campus, it can be very difficult to find someone—even with a cell phone—without planning ahead.

Obtaining Diplomas

Diplomas will be ordered after graduation and will be mailed directly to graduating students. They will not be available for pickup on Commencement Day.  Students should make sure the Registrar's Office has the correct address information for the diplomas to be mailed to. Students can update their DP (Diploma) addresses through SSOL until Monday, May 19.

For additional questions or for more specific information on diplomas, please contact your individual school directly.
