University Commencement

GRADUATING STUDENTS
All graduating students will be required to register online to participate in University Commencement and to obtain guest tickets. Guests are required to present tickets to access the ceremony either at the outdoor seating area on Low Plaza and South Field or the indoor viewing location in the Levien Gymnasium of the Dodge Fitness Center. The impressive number of graduates, along with the spatial and security constraints of campus, necessitates a limit of tickets per student. Each undergraduate student will be able to request up to four (4) tickets for their guests, and graduate students will be able to register and request up to three (3).
For further important details about online registration and requesting tickets for your guests, please visit the Tickets page of the Graduating Students section in "Resources." |

FACULTY & STAFF
On Commencement morning, space is extremely limited on Morningside Campus. Seats on campus are reserved for ticket holders and degree candidates only. All faculty and staff reporting to work or participating in the academic procession must show a Columbia ID to enter the campus on University Commencement morning. Information on the best entrances to access Morningside Campus will be communicated later in the spring semester.
We wish we could issue an unlimited amount of tickets but we must first accommodate some guests for all of our graduating students. Staff and faculty who are not participating in the event are strongly encouraged to enjoy the proceedings via our live webcast. Please email the commencement office if you have special ticket requests for yourself and your guests.

FAMILY & GUESTS
Family and friends of Columbia's graduates are an integral part of the University Commencement celebration. Each guest over the age of three will need a ticket to enter the Morningside Campus on the morning of the ceremony.
Tickets are required for entry into campus on Commencement day. Guests may enter campus starting at 8:30 a.m. and must present their tickets for scanning or collection in order to enter either the Morningside campus outdoor viewing location at 114th Street and Broadway or the indoor, weather-friendly location in the Levien Gymnasium of the Dodge Physical Fitness Center at 120th Street and Broadway. Guests will not be permitted to re-enter campus after exiting.
For more information on how to obtain tickets for the University Commencement ceremony, please visit the Tickets page of the Families & Guests section in "Resources."
