GRADUATION CEREMONY
This ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of the graduating students from the School of Continuing Education Class of 2014. Students' names are read as they process across the stage.

Location: South Lawn, Morningside Campus
Speaker: Dr. Arthur Lerner –Lam, Lamont Research Professor and Deputy
Reception: Immediately following ceremony, location TBA
Tickets: Not required; however, registration for guest count is required
Caps and Gowns: Required
Diplomas: Following the graduation ceremonies, diplomas for May 2014 graduates will be mailed to the “Diploma Address” that is on file in SSOL.

Columbia Announces 2014 Honorary Degree Recipients.
Honorary Degrees are awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to research, publication, law, science, government, education and literature. Honorary degrees were first awarded by Columbia in 1758. Honorees do not need to be graduates of Columbia University.
The University Medal for Excellence is awarded each year to an alumnus or alumna, under 45 years of age, whose record in scholarship, public service, or professional life is outstanding.
