trators—have won Nobel Prizes.
Eight current faculty members are
Nobel laureates in medicine, eco-
nomics, physics, and literature.
Columbia has more than
2,000 international faculty,

Two Columbia scientists were
among the first seven recipients
of the inaugural Kavli Prize
awarded in the fields of nano-
science, neuroscience, and
astrophysics.
Columbia’s faculty includes 200

The list of pioneering discoveries
made by Columbia faculty includes FM
